Privacy Policy & GDPR

This notice explains how we handle personal data of visitors to mvit.hr and people who contact us, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

“MVIT Agency” is the trading brand of MVIT, obrt za usluge programiranja, vl. Miroslav Vegh, Krste Frankopana 11, 43000 Bjelovar, Croatia. E-mail: office@mvit.hr. Working hours: Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00.

We have not appointed a data protection officer; for any privacy question contact us at the e-mail above.

2. What we collect and why

• Contact form / e-mail: your name, e-mail address, chosen subject and message. Purpose: to answer your enquiry and prepare an offer. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding.
• Server logs: IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type. Purpose: security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): only if enabled for this site. It records anonymised usage statistics and sets cookies such as _ga. Legal basis: your consent or our legitimate interest, depending on configuration. If analytics is not enabled, no analytics cookies are set.
• Language preference: stored in your browser's local storage (key mvit-language) so the site remembers English or Croatian. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent.

3. Recipients and processors

We use trusted service providers who process data only on our instructions: our hosting and database provider, Resend (e-mail delivery for the contact form) and, where enabled, Google (analytics). Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell personal data.

4. How long we keep data

Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting business relationship, plus statutory retention periods. Server logs are kept short-term. Analytics data is retained according to the settings configured in Google Analytics.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise a right, e-mail us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), azop.hr.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The website is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
